    Corporal Punishment: Attitudes and Perceptions

As scholastic corporal punishment is under attack by many, and equally defended by numerous others, it has been a dividing issue between parents, teachers, advocates and administrators in various countries all over the world. Ghana, as the first country to ratify the Convention on the Rights of the Child, has made an international promise to uphold human rights practices and focus special attention to the needs of the child. This report, created for the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice in Ghana acts, as informal investigation into current scholastic corporal punishment practices with respect to current legislation and human rights principles in Cape Coast, Ghana.
