The 1996 Grolsch Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts in Amsterdam in the Netherlands and was part of the World Series of the 1996 ATP Tour. The tournament ran from July 29 through August 4, 1996. The Dutch Open Tennis Amersfoort (or Dutch Open) was a men's tennis tournament on the ATP Tour. Originally an event of the Grand Prix tennis circuit (1970-1989) it was held in Amersfoort, Netherlands until 2008. Held since 1957, the tournament was played on outdoor clay courts. Amersfoort was the venue after 2002, before that the tournament was hosted in Hilversum (1957 1994) and Amsterdam (1995 2001).
